independent funeral advisors

Funeral advisers provide impartial information and support to funeral arrangers and the bereaved.

Welcome to The Association of Independent Funeral Advisers (AIFA), an exciting new organisation with the intention of creating a trained network of independent funeral advisers throughout the UK. This would enable everyone who wants to take a more active role in planning and arranging a funeral, for another at the time of need or for themselves in advance, to access the information and support they need.

These two quotes from funeral arrangers who used an independent funeral adviser show the value of the role.

“A big thankyou for helping us to organise Mum's funeral. I knew what I didn't want, but didn't have any idea how to go about getting what we did want. You made it possible and we all felt contented and peaceful afterwards.” Maureen Hutchinson

“In the hours and days following her death, your tactful, sensitive, non-judgemental and calm presence cleared the path for us to make the numerous decisions that faced us. The thoughtful way in which you worked served to minimise our stress, freeing us to arrange the farewell of our late mother in the way that we feel she would have liked and approved.” Rod Nelson and Clare Ballard
